All About Cherries

The thing about baking is you rarely used all the ingredients in one bake. Dying for a black forest cake, I bought a can of cherries ... of course there's no way I finish it since I only baked a small 8" cake. What to do with the left over?

My black forest cake ... and my first attempt in decorating the cake. Hideous .... I know! My kids couldn't care less as long as you give them a candle on top of a cake.
